Afternoon at the Whitney in the middle of the work week, why not!
The Whitney Museum of American Art is a great new addition to Manhattan’s meat packing district. This is the place to be if you’re looking for an afternoon of inspiration, art and culture.
A must see current exhibition is Frank Stella: A Retrospective. The abstract expressionist artist uses materiality and gesture to make space. His work is a conglomeration of metal, plastic, canvas, hand, computer generated and machine made materials. Ah! And can I say color. BAM! We love color!
Check out the neighbors that include; The Standard hotel, The Highline, the Gansevoort Market, Bubby’s, and Santina.
