Inspiration India

Namaste. Vasiliki here! So Im back from my trip and wow! Traveling through India was a truly amazing experience. One that infused me with so much inspiration that I swear the studio is about to turn into a giant explosion of color and pattern. Heck I might even paint Mimi in traditional motifs and parade him up and down the streets of Queens. (Although I think Chris and Jonus will veto that immediately.) There are so many highlights from the trip to share with you.  Enjoy the photos. I tried to edit them as best I could. Make sure to reach the last shot. I threw in a fun one just for you guys!

In India, all my senses were in hyper drive.  Everything is saturated and overloaded. The colors, sounds, smells. Textures and textiles are abundant and colorful. Craftsmanship is on display all around you.  You can see Marble inlay, block printing on textile, hand dyed fabrics, carpet weaving, wood hand carving, detailed stonework and carving.

Jantar mantar - magical and formula. The literal translation of the observatory. One of the coolest places I've ever traveled to. It doesn't hurt that these small moon dials (on your right) place Leo as one out of two power signs. The rest are normal. Well according to our guide.

And drum-roll please....

The main reason I traveled to India was for my very good friends Wedding and let me tell you, that was one of the most spectacular sensory experiences I had in India. The music, the dance, the fashion. Now watch out for A2's new line of textiles coming in 2020 :)
